Kathmandu, Feb. 26: Popular playback singer Anju Pant has tied her nuptial knot with her boyfriend Thir Koirala. They were in love for about a year.
Anju and Thir, who follow Christianity, married at a Patan-based church on Wednesday.
Only a limited number of relatives attended their wedding. It was the second marriage of singer Pant. She divorced her first husband, singer and musician Manoj Raj a decade ago.
Anju, who has been living with her daughter Paritoshika since her separation with Raj, had said a few months ago that her daughter was exerting pressure on her to get married.
Shortly after that, news came out that Anju Pant was in love with Thir Koirala. Anju also admitted that she had been in love with Thir for a year.
However, they were telling the media that they had not fixed their wedding date.
Anju had met Thir during an interview. After that, they became close to each other. Thir has even written a few lyrics for the songs sung by Anju.
