By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 20: The Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday confirmed 88 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation's novel coronavirus tally to 273,351.
"In 2,048 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 88 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2," informed the Ministry of Health and Population in its daily update.
Similarly, 136 people have been recovered from the deadly virus in the last 24 hours which hit the total recoveries 269,755. The recovery rate is at 98.7 percent.
Currently, there are 1,535 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation and are in isolation.
A total of 71 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.
Moreover, no persons succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours. So far nation's COVID-19 death toll lies 2,061.
