Mahendranagar, Feb 7: Sixty thousand students between 12-17 years of age have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Kanchanpur district, according to the District Health Office.
The vaccinated figure is out of 64,000 children to be covered by the vaccination drive launched in schools in the district, said Janak Kunwar, Chief of the Vaccination Section under the Health Office.
“We have demanded additional vaccines to cover the left out-group. They will be administered the vaccine in a few days,” he said.
Likewise, 88 per cent of the people in the district have been administered the first dose of the vaccine and 78 per cent fully vaccinated.
Lately, the district recorded around 40 COVID-19 cases on a daily basis. So far, 208 infected people have died in the district. Most of 565 active infection cases have been in home isolation.
