By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 3: Police have seized 6kg of gold being smuggled from Ratomate of Hetauda along the East-West Highway.
Acting upon a tipoff, the police seized the gold early on Tuesday morning from a passenger bus heading to Birgunj from Kathmandu.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Tika Bahadur Karki, information officer at Makawanpur District Police Office, informed that the gold was confiscated from Abdul Anekal Majij, 42, an Indian national while conducting a routine security check of the passenger bus. DSP Karki said that preparations were underway to present Majij arrested with the gold to the reveunue office at Pathlaiya.
