Kavre, Dec.11: The National Economic Census 2018 revealed that a total of 45,575 people were employed in all the 13 local levels of Kavreplanchowk district.
According to the census report, a total of 20,700 male and 15,200 female are found employed in different sectors.
The census had covered 14,284 business organisatins of the district. Among them only 7,327 organisations were found registered in the concerned government authorities while others were running without registration.
According to the report, a total of 736 persons are employed in agriculture, forest and fishery sectors and 1914 in the industrial production.
Similarly, mining and quarrying, electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply, water supply, sewerage, waste management, refining activities and construction sector are providing employment to 169 individuals.
Altogether 6,135 individuals are involved in wholesale and retail trades, motor vehicle and motorcycle repairing sector.
