Simkot, Dec 1 : The Dalit and financially backward families at Bar village of Simkot Rural Municipality-2 in Humla district have been provided food stuffs.
The food stuffs were provided with the general help of Prem Dorje Lama from Torpa village of the same ward.
Chhiring Palden Lama coordinated for the distribution of relief material. He informed that 43 households from Dalit and destitute communities who have been hit hard with Covid-19 pandemic were provided the relief material. Every household got a 25-kg basmati rice.
The Everest climber first from Humla, Prem Dorje Lama had airlifted the sacks of rice in the village on Sunday.
The people in Bar village are severely affected with the Covid-19, so the assistance was extended to their relief, he informed.
