By Abinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, July 28: As many as 42 including 3 children have tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection in the tests carried out at the Seti Provincial Hospital.
Dilip Kumar Shrestha, information officer of the Provincial Hopsital, said, “42 out of total 134 swabs tested positive for COVID-19 in the testing that was conducted in the last 24 hours in Dhangadhi”.
Meanwhile, 18 new cases including 3 women were confirmed for the virus infection in Godawari Municipality in Kailali district.
Likewise, 14 persons including 6 women have been identified with the novel coronavirus infection in Sayal Rural Municipality of Doti district. Similarly, a child of seven months and a girl child of 3 years have also been found with the virus, informed the Seti Provincial Hospital.
In Adarsha Rural Municipality, Doti district, 4 new cases of COVID-19 have been found and in Belauri Municipality of Kanchanpur, a 2-year old girl has been identified with COVID-19.
According to the Social Development Ministry of the province, a total of 4,145 cases of COVID-19 have so far been confirmed in the Sudurpaschim State. Of them, 2,829 people have returned home after recovering from the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, 9 people have so far succumbed to the virus infection in the state.
