Jaleshwor, June 9 : Forty people who were kept in quarantine at Samsi rural municipality in Mahottari district have escaped away from the facility.
As many as 40 out of 45 people quarantined at Janata Secondary School at Samsi-7 for over the past two weeks had absconded with logistics goods provided, said quarantine chief Sunil Kumar Yadav.
The absconders quarantined were from different places of India, including neighbouring Gaidha, Bhetpur, Pokharvinda, Sangrampur and Sami villages.
Yadav said though a written application was registered at the rural municipality, ward office and police post about the incident, no action has been so far taken to search for the absconders.
