Kathmandu, April 8: Two thousand and 685 people faced action for violating the lockdown in Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday.
According to Metropolitan Police Office, 321 two-wheelers and four-wheelers were taken under control and action against the drivers of the vehicles was taken. The highest number of people—2,157 people from Kathmandu faced action while 480 were from Lalitpur and 48 from Bhaktapur.
The government has imposed lockdown cross the nation from March 24 to prevent possible spread of coronavirus. Those violating lockdown have to take a three-hour lecture about coronavirus before being released, said Deputy Inspector General of Police at Metropolitan Police Office, Bishworaj Pokharel.
