Kathmandu, July 19: Sixteen more Nepalis have died of COVID-19 abroad in the past one week.
According to Non-Resident Nepali Association’s Health Committee, eight people lost their lives to this deadly infection in Qatar, five in the UAE and three in Kuwait.
As informed by the committee, a total of 160 Nepalis in 14 countries succumbed to the flu-like infection till Saturday.
According to committee coordinator Dr Sanjeev Sapkota, altogether 30,571 Nepalis were infected with COVID-19 in various countries. Among them, 28,689 have been recovered fully.
All the COVID-19 infected Nepalis in African countries have recovered while the infection continues to spread among the Nepalis in some of the Middle East countries.
