Kathmandu, March 8: 1.5 million doses of Pfizer vaccine under the COVAx facility will arrive on March, 25, in the first consignment.
According to the Department of Health Services (DoHS), 1.5 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine will be delivered on March, 25.
“1.5 million doses of Pfizer vaccine will arrive on March, 25,” Dr Surendra Chaurasia, Chief of the Logistic Management Section said while adding that will come by slot and each slot will have 1.5 million doses per time and the facility will supply 1.5 million doses every month until August.”
The consignment is part of 9.2 million doses offered by the COVAX facility by the US government.
Vaccines will be delivered at different times keeping in mind the capacity of vaccine storage and will be administered to children above 12 years.
