By Tilchan Pandey, Tamghas, Jan. 14: A total of 14 people were injured after a jeep carrying wedding guests met with an accident in Gulmi on Thursday.
Hari Kisan Pun, assistant inspector of Purtighat Police beat said, "The jeep (with registration number Ga 1 Ja 5086) en route to Syangja from Arbenikot of Kaligandaki Gaunpalika-2 met with an accident at Kharka in the same ward."
The jeep had fallen about 20 meters down from the road.
Pun added that of the 14 injured, Shiva Lal Pandey, 50, of Kaligandaki-2 had suffered from serious injuries and was receiving treatment in Mission Hospital, Palpa. "The other injured people are receiving treatment at Kaligandaki Hospital in Mirmi, Syangja and their health condition is normal," he said.
The police informed that the investigation regarding the accident was underway.
