Damauli, June 24 : The District Police Office, Tanahun has arrested 13 absconding convicts in the past one year.
As of 13 June 2020, police busted 13 persons we have been absconding after being convicted in different crimes.
Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson of the District Police Office, Tanahun Yuwaraj Timilsina informed that 14 years four months and four days of jail sentence have been awarded to the arrestees and a fine of Rs 306,802 has been recovered from them.
Likewise, the police also arrested 14 persons including three in murder crime and 11 in rape case and took them to justice.
Among the registration of 365 cases in the court as of 13 June this year, 222 were settled and 143 cases are yet to be cleared, DSP Timilsina added.
