By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Apr. 27: The number of COVID-19 recoveries is on the rise in Banke district, which has become the hotspot for the novel coronavirus lately.
A total of 106 virus-infected patients recovered from the infection in the district on Tuesday.
Likewise, the district had recorded 125 recoveries on Monday.
According to Banke District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre, a total of 106 patients including 50 females and 96 males who were either staying in home isolation or receiving treatment in various institutional isolations recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.
The district has recorded 532 recoveries from April 14 till now.
COVID-19 focal person of the district Tej Oli said, “As the recovery rate is increasing simultaneously with the infection rate, we are being hopeful that we will be successful in containing the spread soon.”
Oli said that following a massive surge in the district’s COVID-19 tally, additional beds have been installed in Bheri Hospital and Nepalgunj Medical College and well-facilitated isolation centres with oxygen have been set up in Khajura, Kohalpur and Nepalgunj.
