Airlines fail to face Dashain rush

Owing to the increasing trend of travelling via air, the aviation sector faced shortage of aircraft to manage the increasing demand of air tickets during this Dashain festival. Currently, seven private airlines and national flag carrier-Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) are providing air services by their fixed wing aircraft while there are 10 helicopter companies providing air services in domestic routes.

State 1 government has announced its first Five-Year Plan with the aim of increasing the per capita income (PCI) by about 53 per cent in the next five years. No Dashain holidays for security personnel

Nepal Police Headquarters, which is deploying 42,619 police personnel including police in plain cloth across the country, will not take formal leave throughout the festive season, according to police headquarters spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General Bishwo Raj Pokharel.

PM Oli provides Dashain expense to students under his guardianship 

PM Oli had announced the guardianship of the students from Ramdulari Secondary School of Kalyanpur municipality-11 in Siraha and two other schools from Mugu districts. Each student will be provided Rs 5,000 for the expense on the occasion of the big festival of Nepalis.

"I tender my resignation on moral grounds, to be effective from today until the investigation process is concluded, so as to facilitate in the factual, free and fair investigation into the allegations leveled on me raising serious questions over my character in various media since Monday," the Speaker stated in his resignation letter.
