With 15 fatalities, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll reaches 578

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 7: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday confirmed 15 COVID-19 related deaths.

A total of 15 people, five females and 10 males, succumbed to the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.

Two males aged 40 and 60 of Morang, a 50-year-old female of Siraha, a 72-year-old female of Rautahat, two females aged 66 and 72 and four males aged 45, 53, 64 and 69 of Kathmandu, a 46-year-old male of Lalitpur, a 61-year-old male of Chitwan, a 55-year-old male of Rupandehi, a 76-year-old male of Nawalparasi and a 71-year-old female of Dang, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.

With this, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached 578 and the death rate stands at 0.61 per cent.
