By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 14: Counting of votes cast in the second phase of the election for the party President in the 14th General Convention of Nepali Congress (NC) has begun.
The vote count is going on at the National City Hall, Bhrikutimandap, informed Keshab Rijal, secretary of NC Central Election Committee.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Dr. Shekhar Koirala are on the run for the President of NC.
A total of 4,563 votes were cast during the second phase election that took place from 3:30 in the afternoon to 9:30 in the evening on Tuesday.
Rijal said that in comparison to the first round, 113 lesser votes were cast in the second phase election.
