Kathmandu, Dec. 20: Under the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, counting of votes for the central member women (open) is underway. According to Congress Central Election Committee Secretary and Advocate Jagannath Shrestha, the recount of votes has started at 10 am on Monday.
On Sunday night, counting of votes for Central Members (Women Open and Women Madhesi) was also held. Today, counting of votes is taking place in four groups of women and Madhesi open and three groups of women explained Shrestha.
There are 30 candidates for the nine posts from the open women's side of the Nepali Congress. Similarly, there are five candidates for four posts in the women's Madhesi constituency. Congress central member Madhesi (open) has 23 candidates vying for five posts.
