By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 28: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed new 415 cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley on Friday. This is the highest single-day tally recorded in the Valley until now.
Of the 415 new cases, 350 were detected in Kathmandu, 54 were found in Bhaktapur and 11 were traced in Lalitpur, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
The number of active cases in Lalitpur has crossed 500.
Moreover, some 927 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Friday, taking the national tally to 36,456 including 20,242 cases of recovery and 12 death cases.
