Kathmandu, Aug 8: The Ministry of Health and Population has added the number of COVID-19 vaccination centres. The number of vaccination centres was added considering the increasing flow of people coming to vaccinate themselves, said MoHP joint spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari.
A total of 1,433 new vaccination centres have been added across the country. This takes the total number of vaccination centres in the country to 4,422.
Likewise, in Kathmandu valley, the number has been increased to 149, after 83 centres were added. So far, 4.4 million people in Nepal have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 2.2 million have received both their doses.
The government has recently also administered the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, received grant assistance from the United States of America under the COVAX facility.
