By Mahima Devkota, Kathmandu, Apr. 28: All the inoculation against COVID-19 will be halted during the prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the Ministry of Health and population (MoHP), the administration of the doses against COVID-19 will be paused amid the enforced prohibitory order that is starting in the Kathmandu Valley from tomorrow.
Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the MoHP, informed that the vaccination against COVID-19 is paused bearing in mind the purpose of prohibitory order, which is to limit the mobility of the people and decrease the rate of SARS-CoV-2 spread by breaking infection chain.
Seven listed hospitals, namely, Armed Police Hospital, Balambu, Kirtipur Hospital, Civil Service Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women's Hospital (Prasuti Griha), Nepal Medical College, Attarkhel, Himal Academy, KMC College, Sinamangal were giving the first dose of Chinese vaccine, Sinopharm. Similarly, Bir Hospital, Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital (STIDH) and Teaching Hospital were giving second dose of Covishield.
