By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 23: The second meeting of the organising committee of the 10th General Convention of CPN-UML has formed a 19-member Standing Committee of the party.
Talking to the journalists after the meeting held at Baluwatar today, the Prime Minister's official residence, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, spokesperson of the party, informed that the number of the party standing committee member could be increased.
Spokesperson Gyawali said that the meeting entrusted the Standing committee also with the responsibility of reviewing the justifications furnished by UML dissent leaders including Jhalanath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal and take appropriate decision in this regard.
The meeting of the party congress organising committee also decided to remove four provincial lawmakers of Karnali Province from the party's general membership as punishment for their violation of party whip to vote against Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi.
