Kathmandu, Feb. 4: Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has given a 15-day ultimatum to the occupants of the unmanaged flower and gift shops and illegal huts erected in several parts of Pastupatinath Area and Ban Ganesh area of Bankali ordering them to remove the structures.
Issuing a notice on January 3, the Trust had ordered them to remove all unmanaged shops and huts within 15 days of notice.
The flower shops and gift shops in operation by erecting huts on either side of main road of Pashupati area, footpath of other roads, open ground, Kailash hill, Migrasthali, Gorakhnath area, Ban Ganesh, Panchadewal old-age-home, Bhakudol area have spoiled the beauty of Pashupati area .
Such unmanaged structures also create obstacle to devotees, pilgrims, tourists and others in the area.
The Trust ordered the concerned people to remove illegal shops and temporary huts which run without permission of the Trust and against the Pashupati area’s standards.
The flower shops, puja shops and other shops which are running through lottery system at the temporary structures made by the Trust have been asked to coordinated with the Division of Public Procurement and remove the shops immediately.
