Jhapa, Sept 16: The police have arrested two leaders and a cadre of the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand from Jhapa and Humla districts. A police team in civil uniform from the State 1 state police office, acting on a special tip off, held Prabin Mishra, the party's Jhapa district secretary and member Tika Pokharel from Jhapa district on Monday.
The arrestee duo has been charged with detonating an improvised explosive device in a vehicle being used by Sagat Mishra, chief administrative officer at Gauradaha municipality some days ago. Investigations are going on, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahendra Kumar Shrestha.
Likewise, the Humla police arrested Upendra Raut, the district coordinator of CPN affiliated All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary) from Humla district. Investigations are on, said the police.
