Kathmandu, Sept 4 : Police on Thursday have arrested two persons for allegedly involved in a gang rape case. A team of the Metropolitan City Police Circle Thankot held Lokendra Bahadur Malla, 28, who is originally from Mugu and is currently residing in Chandragiri and Ratan Bahadur Shahi, 23, of Mugu on charge of raping a 19-year-old girl at Chandragiri municipality-1, Dahachowk.
Circle In-charge DSPP Ghanashyam Shrestha shared the police team arrested Malla and Shahi acting on a tip-off of gang rape against a girl.
Action would be taken against the arrestees under the rape offense clause of the National Civil Code Act-2074 BS, the metropolitan city police circle said.
