Damak, Nov 1 : Three persons died of COVID-19 in Jhapa district this morning.
The dead ones are the men- one each from Damak Municipality, Kamal Rural Municipality and Gauradaha Municipality.
The health section at Damak Municipality recorded the death of 50-year-old man from Damak-7. He died while receiving treatment at Noble Teaching Hospital, Biratnagar. He was tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday. With this, Damak Municipality alone recorded 16 COVD-19 related deaths.
Similarly, another one is 72-year-old man from Kamal Rural Municipality-5. He died in his own residence. He was also suffering from kidney disease. It has reached the number of those dying in home isolation three in the rural municipality, according to Chairperson Menuka Kafle.
Moreover, another victim is 74-year-old man from Milan Chowk of Gauradaha-4. He also died in home isolation. Health section chief at Gauradah Municipality, Govinda Shrestha, informed that it is the sixth death related to COVID-19 in the municipality.
The latest fatalities have reached the death toll 43 in Jhapa district.
