Tanahun, Nov. 4: Bandipur Rural Municipality and Byas Municipality of Tanahun district, which are full of natural beauty, have of late, become attractive destinations for film and music video shooting.
Pokhara, Mustang and Manang of Gandaki State have long been the producers’ choice for shooting. But now, Tanahun has also emerged as a favourite location for them. It is evident from the fact that many producers are seen shooting their music videos in Tanahun these days despite the fear of COVID-19.
Currently, a music video Ma Yo Kasto Prem Garirahechhu is being shot around Byas Nagar. The song is sung by Nisha Deshar and its music is directed by Gaire Suresh.
Directed by Sudip Poudel, the music video features Mahesh Wagle, Mamata Adhikari and Soniya Joshi.
The music video was filmed around Kalika Jungle Park, Om Shanti Park, Madhi and the confluence of the Seti River in Byas Municipality.
The song tells the story of a lover who is unable to forget his beloved who betrayed him.
Even after lockdown, lyrist Sagar Udash has filmed his song Jamkabhet and musician Nawaraj Thapa filmed Birano Desh, Lakhau Tara Aakashaima in and around Damauli.
Model Mamata Adhikari said, “Natural beauty of Tanahun district fascinates her and she feels happy while shooting in this place.”
Bandipur has been a popular destination for film and music video shooting for long. However, in recent days, Byas Municipality has also become an attractive location of filming.
One can see film and music video being shot at Byas Cave, Parashar Park, Om Shanti Park, Kalika Temple, Manhudada, Ramthumki, Bambo Cottage and local artistic houses and Chabdi Barahi of Byas Municipality almost every day
Likewise, Dhor Barahi Temple, Rock Garden of Shuklagandaki Municipality have also become prime locations for music video shooting.
Singer Sunil Giri said that Tanahun district is rich in natural beauty and culture, therefore, he had filmed many of his songs around various locations of the district.
Singer Giri shot his songs Rogai Pirati, Kosheli, Soltini and Ye Saili in Tanahun.
Likewise, folk and duet singer Basant BK also prefers to film his music videos in Tanahun.
Due to the natural diversity, beautiful scenery, rural setting, folk singer BK has filmed many of his songs around Damauli.
Easy access to roads coupled with cultural diversity and natural beauty, Tanahun has emerged a popular location for the shooting of music videos and movies, said director Anil Adhikari.
