By Lucky Chaudhary, Kathmandu, Oct. 2: The meeting between the Chairmen of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', was held today at the PM's residence, Baluwatar.
Surya Thapa, press advisor to the PM, said that discussions between the two was focused on issues as raised in the Secretariat meeting that include reshuffling of the Cabinet.
As the NCP Secretariat meeting has given the responsibility to the Chairmen to reach to an agreement regarding reorganisation of the Council of Ministers, the Chairmen-duo have been holding meetings on a regular basis.
Regular discussions were held between PM Oli and Prachanda last Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. A source at Baluwatar told The Rising Nepal that the two may have reached a few agreements in the discussion today.
It is understood that the Chairmen talked about concluding the procedure of party unification in today's meeting.
Bishnu Prasad Poudel, general secretary of the party is vested with the responsibility to complete the party unification procedure by the end of mid-October.
Secretariat meeting tomorrow
The meeting held between the Chairmen has decided to call the NCP secretariat meeting on Saturday at 4:00 in the afternoon, said Bishnu Sapkota, press advisor to Chairman Prachanda.
