By Chandani Acharya, Lamki (Kailali), Oct. 2: As many as 6,203 people in the Sudurpaschim state have recovered from COVID-19 until now.
According to the Health Directorate, Doti, of the 7,376 cases of COVID-19 in the state, 6,203 people have already recovered from it.
Some 873 patients have recovered from the infection in Kailali, the district having the highest infection rate in the Sudurpaschim State.
Likewise, Achcham has recorded 969 cases of recoveries, Doti has recorded 960 and Kanchanpur has recorded 749 cases of recoveries, informed the Health Directorate.
Currently, there are 1,157 active COVID-19 patients in the Sudurpaschim state of which, 667 are in Kailali.
The directorate further revealed that there are 138 active cases in Doti, 110 in Bajhang, 106 in Achcham, 65 in Kanchanpur, 30 in Darchula, 28 in Baitadi and 12 in Dadeldhura.
Meanwhile, Bajura district of the state has become COVID-19 free with zero active cases.
The Sudurpaschim state has recorded 16 COVID-19 related deaths until now, of which eight were from Kailali, two each were from Achcham, Bajhang and Bajura and one each were from Baitadi and Dadeldhura.
The state has performed 84,494 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests until now.
