Kathmandu, May 3: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has extended his high respect to media-persons who have worked round the clock to disseminate news during COVID-19 pandemic.
In a message on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day today, he lauded media outlets and media-persons for creating awareness through news at this time of crisis and playing the watchdog role.
He also extended his condolences to all media-persons who sacrificed their lives for press freedom and rights to freedom of expression.
"The importance of press increases more at a special time and at a time of crisis. I believe the Day would provide additional energy and confidence to media-persons working hard during the adverse situation."
