By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Mar 31: Speaker and NA chair haveay appealed to the people to stay home and make themselves safe from widespread COVID-19. Issuing separate statements on Monday they had urged people to stay safe from the virus.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota appealed to stay inside, avoid gatherings and to use protective measures while being outside.
He said that no options were left but to stay inside homes during lockdown period. “The global scenario caused by COVID-19 pandemic has compelled us to stop all of our external activities and maintain disciplines because we are in sensitive time,” read the
release.
According to the Speaker, the government was trying its best to control the pandemic from its side. “Essential health equipment were being managed,” reads the release.
Meanwhile, National Assembly Chair Ganesh Timalsina also had appealed to maintain high alertness and precautions against the virus.
Stating that the government’s initiation was positive towards controlling virus risk in the country, chair Timalsina said that additional efforts were required to identify, diagnose and treat the infected. “Required equipment, labs, PPEs and other essential things are required for the hospitals across the country,” he said.
