By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 5: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) halted the share transaction for about 40 minutes today as the NEPSE indexes dwindled sharply in the share markets.
The transaction was halted within 2 hours of the opening of the market today as the NEPSE recorded a decrease by 5 per cent.
The NEPSE indexes had decreased by 147.31 points, accounting for 5.03 per cent, and were stopped at 2779.69 points.
Similarly, the sensitive index tumbled by 26.93 points to a limit of 51484. Before it, 4.8 million shares were traded for Rs 7.19 billion of the 215 companies.
