Pokhara, Dec 3: Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the good governance could not be achieved unless bureaucracy was changed.
Speaking in a three- day seminar organized for the office bearers of local governments, CM Gurung said that good governance and prompt service delivery was not made effective due to traditional mindset of bureaucracy.
CM Gurung said though governance system was changed, service delivery mechanism led by the bureaucracy was as it is therefore expected change was not witnessed.
Similarly, spokesperson at the embassy Andey said that the good governance was utmost to civilized and democratic society and such seminar and training would be fruitful to achieve it.
Director General at the chamber of Commerce Dharanidhar Khatiwada said that the political leadership should be accountable and transparent to ensure the good governance.
The programme was organized in the support of US Embassy and Pokhara Chamber of Commerce.
