Kathmandu, Oct 6: Senior television journalist Rajendra Dev Acharya died at the age of 61 on Sunday morning.
He breathed his last while receiving treatment at Norvic Hospital in Kathmandu.
He was suffering from disease related to liver.
He had joined Nepal Television in 1987 and retired as Deputy General Manager few years ago.
He had worked as a new chief at NTV for 21 years and his show ‘Chintan Manan’ was very popular, the TV's official Raju Silwal said.
Besides, he was involved in teaching journalism at Ratna Rajya Laxmi College for long.
He was survived by his mother, wife and daughter. Some time ago, his son had died of heart attack in US.
