By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 24: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' has attended the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Central Committee meeting of Chairman KP Sharma Oli-led faction in the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar.
According to Deepak Devkota, the central member, the meeting, which was scheduled for 1:00 pm today, was delayed due to the homework required to prepare work plans.
He informed that senior leader Badal, who had remained neutral in the NCP intra-party rift, was also present in the meeting. "Leader Badal will make his belief public today," added Devkota.
Moreover, Devkota informed that the oath-taking ceremony of the new central committee members would be held in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Central Committee meeting of the Prachanda-Nepal-led faction has also begun in Karki Banquet, Babarmahal.
Prior to this, NCP Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam and leader Badal had remained neutral regarding the rival factions. Members of Gautam's secretariat have also said that he would be expressing his views on the intra-party feud by today.
