By Narayan Kafle, Kathmandu, Apr. 1: The Supreme Court has decided to not hold a hearing on the review petition filed by Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Chairman of NCP (Maoist Centre).
Assistant spokesperson of the SC Devendra Dhakal said, "The joint bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana and Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Tej Bahadur KC ruled that no hearing would take place in Chairman Dahal's review petition."
On March 7, the joint bench of justices Bam Kumar Shrestha and Kumar Regmi had decided to nullify the NCP unification during the hearing of writ petition filed by Rishiram Kattel claiming the name 'NCP' belonged to his party.
Chair Dahal had field a review petition on Tuesday against the top court's decision to reinstate CPN UML and NCP (Maoist Centre) as individual parties.
