Kathmandu, Feb. 19: A meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition on Friday discussed the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
However, the meeting concluded deciding to hold another meeting on Sunday.
After the meeting held at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official residence in Baluwatar, government spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that the Parliament Work-Procedure Advice Committee would decide about tabling the MCC in the parliament.
Briefing about the meeting, Minister Karki he said, “We are heading towards positive direction. Next meeting will be held at 10 am on Sunday.”
In the meeting, Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Deuba, ruling CPN-Maoist Centre chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN (Unified Socialist) chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party chair Upendra Yadav and others were present.
After the meeting with the leaders of ruling coalition today, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba began internal discussions. NC parliamentary party whip Pushpa Bhushal informed that PM Deuba was busy holding internal discussions with NC leaders and ministers.
Prime Minister Deuba held discussions with some NC leaders and ministers from his own party at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar.
