Ruling coalition meeting concludes
Kathmandu, March 2: A meeting of the ruling coalition at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar has concluded. The first meeting after the ratification of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) was focused on the implementation of MCC.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba thanked everyone for reaching an agreement on MCC ratification at the meeting.
Discussions focused on the role of government and coalition in the evolving political situation. Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said. Stating that if the MCC project is not implemented within five years, the assistance will be withdrawn, said Minister Karki.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and other top leaders of the alliance were present at the meeting.
