Kathmandu, Jan 3: The political parties of the ruling coalition have agreed on the sharing of seats for the National Assembly elections. In a meeting held at the PM's residence in Baluwatar today morning, it was agreed to nominate the party from which the seats were vacant out of the 19 vacant seats.
In the remaining eight of the 19 seats, it was agreed to give three seats to the Nepali Congress, two to the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal and one each to the CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Rashtriya Janamorcha, said Rashtriya Janamorcha Party's Vice President Durga Poudel.
According to the constitutional provision that the election should be held 35 days before the expiry of the term of the National Assembly member, the commission has fixed the date for the election on January 26.
