Kathmandu, Nov 12 : At least three persons died and two other sustained injuries when a truck met with an accident in Kathmandu metropolis-14, Kalanki this morning.
The accident took place when a poultry truck (Ba 5 Kha 8865) en route to Sitapaila from Balkhu hit the stationary truck (Ba 3 Kha 7530) at around 3.25 this morning.
Chief of Metropolitan Police Office Ranipokhari and Deputy Inspector General of Police Bisworaj Pokharel shared that Roshan Tamang, 24, Bhupendra Tamang, 27, and Madhab Ghimire, 37, of Nuwakot died in the accident. All of them were travelling by the poultry transport truck.
All three critically injured were taken to the Martyr Memorial Hospital Kalanki for treatment where they were pronounced dead at 4.30 am in course of the treatment.
Two other injured are Rohan Tamang, 21, and Bijaya Tamang, 24, of Nuwakot. They are undergoing treatment in the same hospital.
Investigation into the incident is underway, said Police Circle Kalimati’s DSP Apilraj Bohora.
