Kathmandu, Aug 23: The Active Membership Dispute Settlement Task Force of the Nepali Congress is all set to submit its report to party president and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Monday.
NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel Sunday told The Rising Nepal that the Task Force had almost settled the disputes relating to active membership and it would hand over its report to the party president tomorrow.
The Task Force was scheduled to submit the report to president Deuba on Sunday, but it failed to do so as some disputes were still under discussion although all three members of the Task Force reached Baluwatar to meet the party president this afternoon.
The NC had formed the Task Force led by Krishna Prasad Sitaula to resolve the active membership disputes after the Active Membership Probe Committee was unable to settle some of the disputes.
The Taskforce was entrusted the responsibility of resolving the dispute and to submit its report by August 19.
The ward level convention of NC is beginning from September 3, and before the convention kicks off, the list of the party's active members should be submitted to the election committee of the party.
