Karnali, Feb. 18: Karnali Province Chief Tilak Pariyar has insisted on the need of keeping impartiality, transparency, and integrity of the Public Service Commission (PSC) intact.
In his address to a ceremony held to mark the first establishment day of Province PSC today, the Province Chief sought the increased role of the province body of PSC to produce an efficient workforce useful for the development of the Province. “The PSC is not expected to make a delay in selecting and recommending required human resources," he asserted.
Also speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi informed the ceremony that formulation of a draft for the Province Civil Act was about to be complete and they were preparing to table the document in the upcoming winter session of the Province Assembly. As he said, the document will be further dealt with through a fast track.
Province PSC Chair Ram Prasad Upadhyay apprised that the lack of the Civil Act for the province had created confusion in regard to facilities for civil servants at the province and local levels.
The function was attended by Province ministers and secretaries as well.
