Dhalkewar, Dec. 11: The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) has scheduled its Province 2 convention for Saturday in Janakpurdham.
Prahlad Budhathoki, Province 2 coordinator of the party, briefed about the provincial convention at a press conference held in Dhanusha on Friday.
A total of 1,000 delegates from 136 municipalities of the province will participate in the convention. He also said that the convention had yet to be held in 30 of 136 local levels of the province.
The inauguration ceremony of the convention will be held on Saturday and closed session on December 18. The new working committee will be selected from the closed session.
Central Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal will address the inaugural session of the convention through virtual means.
According to Budhathoki, the convention will be addressed by the leaders including Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Matrika Prasad Yadav and Ganesh Shah.
