Kathmandu, Oct. 4: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government has given priority to the protection and enrichment of Nepali language, literature, culture and history.
Addressing a programme organised to release the annual report for Fiscal Year 2020/21 of Nepal Academy on Sunday, Prime Minister Deuba said, "As language, culture and literature play an important role in developing the human race, everyone has an equal responsibility in protecting and promoting them."
He added that the Academy also played a vital role in the protection, enrichment and promotion of our language, culture, literature and history. "The government is always ready to help the Academy fulfill its duties," said the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Deuba said that society would be mobile only by enhancing their culture, tradition, language and literature. In the programme, Chancellor of the Nepal Academy Ganga Prasad Upreti had presented the annual report to the Prime Minister.
Similarly, various publications of the academy were also gifted to him at the programme. The Academy also drew the Prime Minister's attention in using Nepali number in the embossed number plate of the vehicles.
