By Lucky Chaudhary, Kathmandu, Jun. 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is preparing to expand the Council of Ministers today.
The CPN-UML leaders informed that seven new ministers and a state minister who are being appointed to the vacant ministries would be taking the oath of office and secrecy today itself.
Meanwhile, the Office of the President at Sheetal Niwas has not finalised the schedule to administer the oath to the newly appointed ministers, said Tika Dhakal, press advisor to the President.
A source at Baluwatar said that Khagraj Adhikari would be appointed as Home Minister, Nainkala Thapa as Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Narad Muni Rana as Minister for Forest and Environment, Jwala Kumari Shah as Agriculture Minister, Ganesh Pahadi as Minister for General Administration, Mohan Baniya as minister without portfolio, Raj Kishor Yadav as Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies and Aasha BK as Forest State Minister.
Narad Muni said that he had received a notice to take the oath of office and secrecy at 4:00 in the afternoon today.
