Kathmandu, Feb. 2: A meeting has been held between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.
According to Prachanda's press coordinator Surya Kiran Sharma, the meeting between Prime Minister Deuba, Prachanda and Nepal took place at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday afternoon.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Deuba and Prachanda discussed local elections, US assistance project, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and other current political issues, he said. Earlier, in a meeting with the Prime Minister on Tuesday, the Election Commission officials had advised the government to hold the local elections on May 18.
In a meeting with the commission officials, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government would fix the election date after holding discussions in the alliance.
