By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 19: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba of an early supply of COVID-19 vaccines.
Prime Minister Deuba tweeted regarding the telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Modi today.
He wrote 'I had cordial telephone conversation with Prime Minister @narendramodi this afternoon. We shared views on further strengthening bilateral ties. PM Modi assured early supply of Covid Vaccines to Nepal. I thanked him for his warm words of congratulations.'
According to the Personal Secretary of Prime Minister Bhanu Deuba during the telephone talk, PM Deuba requested Modi to deliver the remaining doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
Nepal had received 1 million doses of Covishield as a donation from India. Similarly, 1 million doses of vaccine out of purchasing 2 million doses are yet to be arrived from India.
