Kathmandu, Dec. 25: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended best wishes to all Nepali Christian brothers and sisters at home and abroad on the occasion of Christmas Day.
She has wished good health, happiness and peace and prosperity to all on this occasion. In a message today, President Bhandari has said that festivals like Christmas have played an important role in promoting harmony and good will among people of various communities.
“This festival also inspires us to build a peaceful and prosperous Nepal, by enhancing fraternity, mutual love and solidarity among all Nepalis,” she has said in the message.
Similarly, Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun has also congratulated all the Nepali brothers and sisters observing this festival today.
Stating that diverse religious and cultural festivals have helped maintain social unity, goodwill and religious tolerance in the country, Vice-president Pun has said that this festival further strengthens the Nepali people’s unity and collaboration.
