Kathmandu, Oct 15: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota said on Tuesday that the recent state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping was historic and significant.
Speaking in a programme organised by Sanchar Kendra Nepal here, Minister Baskota shared that the visit also opened the door for Nepal's development.
He also said that the bilateral agreements signed for development of various sectors would be gradually implemented.
Minister Baskota, also spokesperson of the government, argued that the visit left remarkable footprint.
People, political parties and other stakeholders also hearty welcomed President Xi, he stated.
He added that the mission of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to transform the nation from landlocked to land-linked status was also supported by Chinese President's visit.
