Saraswati Pooja is celebrated as an original festival associated with enhancement of knowledge, wisdom, art and music, the President said.
“In the present context, issues of timely improvement of education from early childhood development level to school and university have become a matter of common national interest,” President Bhandari said.
“Therefore, we have to direct ourselves towards the concerted efforts of the nation, parents and educational institutions in the all-round personality development of the citizens through the reform of educational institutions, skill enhancement and professional development of professors and teachers, formulation of life-sustaining education policy and research oriented education.”
“I express my best wishes to all the brothers and sisters living at home and abroad,” President Bhandari said.
Like many cultural festivals and traditions of Nepal, Basanta Panchami also bears relation with nature.
